I was watching an interview Steve Jobs granted in 1994, and he was asked why he and Steve Wozniak kept on going when they were making the very first apple computer which was Apple 1. He said something like; we figured out that we really had nothing lose, if we made the Apple 1 and it was a flop no problem, if it turns out to be a great product then fine.
Knowing that there was really nothing to lose in the venture made them give their all to realizing the product. and I quote from Steve Jobs again, the only thing you truly have is time, make good use of it...
and really you have nothing to lose, follow your dream, follow your heart especially if you're still young.
